We are pleased to share the key takeaways from the Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis Workshop organized by the Population Council Institute. The workshop, held in a dynamic hybrid format, provided participants with a rich blend of insightful discussions and hands-on learning opportunities.

Participants explored foundational concepts such as developing protocols, crafting search strategies, and framing research questions. The workshop’s interactive exercises, particularly on Search Strategies and PICOS, allowed attendees to apply their knowledge in real-time, enhancing their understanding and skills. The energy and enthusiasm of both in-person and online participants were remarkable.

A special thank you to our distinguished resource persons for their invaluable contributions. Dheeraj Shah, Director at the National Institute of Health & Family Welfare, shared insights on integrating systematic reviews into policy and practice. Khan Amir Maroof, MD, Professor of Community Medicine at University College of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, provided expert guidance on methodological aspects, and Dr. Shaileja Yadav, Technical Specialist at Voluntary Health Services, brought her expertise in data analysis and interpretation. Radhika Dayal, Senior Technical Specialist at Population Council Consulting Pvt. Ltd., led the workshop with her engaging teaching style, ensuring a seamless learning experience for both in-person and online attendees.
