The MGYRN initiative aims to transform research and evidence-based programming for adolescent girls and young women in India by creating a substantial cohort of one million participants who will share their insights and aspirations to drive social change. The primary objective is to place young women at the forefront of collecting and interpreting data about their peers within their communities, thereby establishing a robust mechanism for both longitudinal and rapid-response data collection. This approach will ensure a continuous flow of relevant data and insights. Additionally, the initiative seeks to spread essential skills needed for designing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating evidence-based programs tailored to the needs of girls and young women. By integrating data and evidence into programming and policy development, MGYRN aspires to enhance the effectiveness and reach of initiatives aimed at improving the lives of young women across India.
