Population Council Institute’s Deputy Director, Dr. Sangram Kishor Patel, took the stage as a panel speaker at the prestigious “Ageing Perspectives Symposium: Navigating Policies, Wellness , and Research for a Healthier Tomorrow” hosted at the International Institute of Health Management Research (IIHMR), New Delhi, on March 15-16, 2024. Dr. Patel’s enlightening topic, “Navigating Ageing in South Asia and India,” provided invaluable insights into the countries policies, unique challenges and opportunities facing aging populations in our region. This symposium was conducted by IIHMR-D in partnership with the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment and the National Institute of Social Defence (NISD). Population Council Institute is spearheading innovative research and initiatives on Ageing and other marginalized communities to address the evolving needs of our diverse society.
